Air Jordan Outlet

Price: Free

Air Jordan Outlet is a shopping app specifically for Air Jordan shoes. It’s a fairly niche app but it works pretty well. You browse for the shoes you want, buy them, and then eventually you get your shoes. The app is simple enough to use with logical buttons that make sense. The only part that felt kind of off is that this is definitely a web wrapper instead of a native app to the point where one of the pages in the app encouraged me to download the app that I was currently using. It’s definitely not as good as its 4.8 rating would suggest, but it’s still pretty decent for buying shoes.

Chroma Galaxy Live Wallpapers

Price: Free / $3.49

Chroma Galaxy Live Wallpapers by Roman De Giuli, known for his 8K abstract videos on YouTube among other places. The app puts some of his artwork in live wallpaper format so you can enjoy it on your home screen. It includes over 250 wallpapers across 16 categories. Many of those are from previous works and some are unique only to the app. The free version includes 30 wallpapers so you can thoroughly try it before you buy it. Even the free version doesn’t have ads or anything like that so it’s a nice overall live wallpaper.

Document Reader

Price: Free / $6.49

Document Reader is a simple, but effective document reader. It works for most popular file types, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Spreadsheet documents along with PDF. There aren’t a lot of complicated things about this app. You pick the file and it opens so you can have a look. Perhaps the more useful function is the file converter that can turn a bunch of stuff into PDF if you need it. Such apps aren’t as useful anymore since you can get the original app for the file type these days. However, if you find yourself in need of one, this one works pretty well.

Geo Music Player

Price: $0.99

Geo Music Player is a decent and simple music player. It does the basic stuff well. You can look for your stuff by artist, album, song, and folder. It also supports playlists, lyric files, a light and dark theme, and an overall app size of about 5MB.

F1 TV

Price: Free / $26.99-$79.99 per year

F1 TV has been out for a very long time, but it only recently introduced its Android TV app. It works the way you would expect. The app lets you stream F1, F2, F3, and Porsche Supercup events straight to your TV. It also includes extras like talk shows, pre-race events, and an archive of old races. There is even a driver cam feature where you can watch straight from the car. The app shares space with the official Android app so you’ll find both at the same link below. It’s also the same subscription for both so if you’re already subscribed to F1 TV, the Android TV app should work once you log in.

Novi

Price: Free

Novi is a new digital wallet app from Facebook. Its primary focus is letting you send and receive money internationally. You input your money, convert it to USDP, and then send it to other people. The other person converts out of USDP into their native currency and then withdrawals the money. That’s basically the long and short of it. The app boasts various anti-fraud measures with a focus on security. For example, it verifies the identities of everybody who uses the app. It doesn’t work everywhere yet and it’s only really good for small transfers. We assume it’ll expand over time.

Red Robin

Price: Free

Red Robin is the latest restaurant chain to release an official app. It does the same stuff as most restaurant chain apps. You can order meals, check your loyalty rewards, and have your food delivered straight from the app. Red Robin’s loyalty program includes quite a bit of free food as well, so it’s nice to have a place to keep track of it. There are parts of the app that need some additional optimization. In addition, users have reported some bugs with the sign-up process. However, once you get passed all that, it works about as well as can be expected.

Roll20 Companion

Price: Free

Roll20 Companion is the official app for Roll20, an online platform for tabletop gamers. The app lets you do several of the functions from the site. You can view character sheets, roll dice, and do some other basic stuff. Of course, the actual site does a lot more things. We would’ve liked it more if the app more closely mirrored the website and let us do more. It is a new app, though, and it should improve over time. We look forward to seeing how this evolves over the next year or two. The app is free to all Roll20 users, so there is no harm in trying it out.

Scrolling Icons Live Wallpaper

Price: Free / Up to $1.99

Scrolling Icons Live Wallpaper is a simple, minimal wallpaper. It basically scrolls icons across your home screens when you interact with it. You can use the icons on your device or download an icon pack and use those instead. There are enough customizations to make this look about how you want. There are also things like FPS sliders so you can find a good mix between performance and battery life. The premium version adds some additional customizations as well. It’s a good live wallpaper, especially for people who enjoy wallpapers that aren’t too busy.

SyncUP Kids

Price: Free / Varies

SyncUP Kids is an app from T-Mobile that works with hardware that T-Mobile also sells. Basically, T-Mobile sells you a smartwatch that you give to your kids. The app lets you track your kids in a variety of different ways. You can track things like steps taken, the battery life of the watch, and location via GPS. Kids can also use the watch to call and text parent-approved contacts. The watches have some neat features, like a 5MP camera to take pictures. It’s a neat overall idea and it may be worth looking into for T-Mobile customers with kids.
